As a retired artist residing in the coastal town of Batehaven, Australia, my work explores the interplay between environment, object, and human presence. Through the medium of oil painting, I seek to encapsulate the delicate details that often go unnoticed in the everyday: the quiet elegance of an empty ornate chair set against a vast landscape, or the intimate vibrance of a families shared moments at the beach.

 

My practice is rooted in a fascination with the stories that spaces and objects convey. Through my work I aspire to create a dialogue between the viewer and the canvas, encouraging an exploration of emotions and memories that these scenes evoke.
